Privacy Policy

Last updated: 13 June 2026

BabyHub (“BabyHub”, “we”, “us” or “our”) helps parents and caregivers track a baby’s daily care — feeding, diapers, sleep, medication and notes — and share that information with the people they choose. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to the BabyHub iOS app and the websites at babyhub.io and app.babyhub.io.

The short version

  • We collect only what’s needed to run the app: your sign-in identifier and the baby-care data you enter.
  • We sign you in with Sign in with Apple — we never see or store a password.
  • We don’t upload photos, show ads, or sell your data.
  • Your data is protected by access rules in our database, not just in the app.
  • You can export or delete your data, and delete your account, at any time.

Information we collect

Account information

When you sign in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple account identifier and, if you choose to share it, your name and an email address (which may be Apple’s private “Hide My Email” relay address). We never receive your Apple password.

Baby-care data you create

The information you add to the app, such as: a baby’s name, optional birthdate and emoji avatar; and the activities you log — feeding, diaper changes, sleep, medication and doses, and notes, with their times.

Sharing & access data

The family members you invite (and their role — co-parent, caregiver or viewer), and the temporary guest links you create, including their scope and expiry.

Technical data

Basic, security-related server logs (such as timestamps and error information) generated when the app or guest portal communicates with our servers. We do not use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking, and the app does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites.

What we do not collect

  • No photos. Babies are represented by emoji avatars; there are no images to store.
  • No advertising identifiers and no sale of personal data.
  • Reminders stay on your device. Feed and medication reminders are scheduled locally on your phone and are not sent to our servers.

How we use your information

  • To provide the core features — recording and displaying your baby’s activity to you and the people you share with.
  • To operate family sharing and temporary guest links.
  • To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

Where required by law (for example under the GDPR), we rely on the performance of our agreement with you, your consent, our legitimate interest in operating and securing the service, and legal obligation as the bases for processing.

How your information is shared

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only:

  • With people you invite. Co-parents, caregivers and viewers you add — and anyone you give a guest link to — can see the baby data you share with them, according to the role or scope you set.
  • With service providers that run BabyHub for us: Supabase (database, authentication and backend hosting) and Apple (Sign in with Apple and App Store). These providers process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments.
  • For legal reasons, if required by law or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the service.
  • In a business transfer, such as a merger or acquisition, in which case we will notify you.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete individual entries, revoke guest links, and delete your account at any time from within the app; deleting your account removes your account and associated baby-care data from our active systems. You can also email us to request deletion. Backups and legally required records may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.

Security

Access to data is enforced at the database level using row-level security, so each person can only reach the data they’re entitled to. Data is encrypted in transit. Sign-in uses Sign in with Apple, so no passwords are stored. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit access to it.

Children’s privacy

BabyHub is intended for use by adults (parents and caregivers) to track the care of their own children. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow children to create accounts. Any information about a child is entered and controlled by the responsible adult, who can edit or delete it at any time. If you believe a child has provided us information directly, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights & choices

  • Access & correction: view and edit your data in the app.
  • Deletion: delete entries, revoke shared access and guest links, and delete your account.
  • Notifications: reminders are local to your device and can be turned off in your device settings.
  • Depending on where you live (for example the EU/EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights such as access, portability, correction, deletion, and the right to object or lodge a complaint with a regulator. Contact us to exercise these rights.

International data transfers

Our service providers may process and store data in countries other than yours. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
